Charlotte Linder is a native of Denmark, dressage rider and trainer, as well as breeder of Danish Oldenburg Horses. Charlotte holds Danish college degrees in Equine Management, Equine Nutrition and Equine Reproduction. She also holds a degree in Therapeutic Riding along with her Trainer Certification.
Her entire life Charlotte has been surrounded by horses. With a childhood spent on a beautiful Danish manor, among her mother's dressage horses, Charlotte knows quality! Being only 7 years old, riding a naughty little pony, Charlotte trained with late Lindy Fogh-Petersen. Later thru the pony years Charlotte trained with Olympic Rider Mrs. Tove Jorck-Jorckston. The change from pony to horse was made under training by late Hermann Duckek.
Charlotte was the first Danish rider to qualify for the German Bundeschampionat (1993). Being trained by Uffe Nietscke she qualified for the finals in Mannheim by becoming Reserve Champion with the Weltmeyer mare St. Pr. St. Elysee (Weserperle). Going on to the Bundeschampionat Finals she ranked 6th with the Champion being the approved stallion Weltbürger.
Later on Charlotte was a student under the Danish Young Rider Dressage Team trainer Hans Joergen Noergaard, known for the dressage horses Sivaldo, Piano Star, and Hermo.
When Charlotte and her family relocated to North Carolina in 2002, Charlotte traveled with her three Oldenburgs all the way and therefore has first-hand-knowledge of all aspects of import. This makes Charlotte Linder one of the best horse agents on the market. Charlotte has the knowledge to help you find that perfect Dream Horse and get the horse imported in the best way possible while keeping the cost to a minimum.
Many of our horses are hand-picked by Charlotte's mother who is a Danish 'S' Dressage Judge.
Charlotte has two young daughters, Cat (9) and Ditte (16), who competes successfully in Dressage, Combined Training, and Hunter . Therefore Charlotte is also the right person to consult if a junior or young rider horse is on the wish list. Charlotte's son, Andreas (11), deserves mentioning as well. However, his discipline is Reining/Cutting on a gentle retired Quarter Horse. Husband, Michael, does not have a strong urge to be among the horses...
Partner in Denmark is a Certified Trainer (Master A), who is president of the Danish Certified Riding Instructors Association. Our barn in Denmark is a well-known training center and commercial stable. Even before the place became our sales barn, it had made quite a name for itself and was known, among other things, as the birthplace of one of Denmark's most internationally renowned breeding stallions, May Sherif. Per is a certified trainer and an active equestrian sportsman. He has served on the Danish National Show Jumping Team and participated in Grand Prix dressage. Today he trains private students and horses up to Grand Prix level in both dressage and jumping. Each year app. 70 young horses from all over Denmark are trained here, and about 30 horses at different levels are trained there every day. A total of around 95 horses are boarded at the facility, and three assistants are employed as trainer apprentices, which means that part of their professional trainers education takes place under the tuition of Per. |
